Website access and security
When you visit the website, technical data such as your IP address, browser information, requested addresses and timestamps is processed to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. Quivr stores information including IP addresses and browser identifiers for signed-in sessions.
Processing for secure operation is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is protecting accounts and infrastructure.
Accounts and sign-in
For an account, Quivr processes your name, email address, profile image, account identifier and the security data needed for sign-in. Password-based sign-in uses a password hash. If you enable two-factor authentication, the data needed for it is processed. Session and recovery data enable sign-in and password resets.
Providing the account functions you request is generally based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Security measures also protect against unauthorized access. The corresponding functions cannot be provided without the information they require.
Connected platforms and applications
When you connect an external service such as Twitch or Kick for sign-in or through your profile, Quivr receives the account and profile data made available under the requested permissions, together with access tokens. The provider learns of the connection to Quivr. You can remove connections in your profile.
Connected applications can retrieve account, channel or product-access data and report usage events according to their permissions. Their scope and purpose depend on the application. Technical OAuth authorization does not automatically constitute consent under data protection law.
Processing to provide the connection you request is generally based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The platform also processes data under its own privacy notice. Removing a connection in Quivr does not replace managing your data and permissions with the external provider.
Products, downloads and reviews
Quivr processes product entitlements, access grants and, where reported, usage events to provide access and downloads. If you publish a review, its text, star rating, product reference and account association are processed. Published reviews are visible to other visitors.
This processing provides the functions you request, generally under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Moderation and abuse prevention may rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Quivr does not currently sell paid products.
Email contact
When you contact us or request a password reset, we process your email address and the information needed to handle the request. Depending on the request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR; for compliance with legal obligations, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Email is operated with netcup GmbH in Germany.
Cookies and local storage
Quivr uses browser sign-in data for sessions and authentication. Your collapsed account-navigation preference is stored locally under the key quivr-admin-sidebar. You can remove this preference by deleting site data; deleting sign-in data may sign you out.
Access to your device is governed by section 25 TDDDG. Where storage or access is strictly necessary to provide a function you explicitly request, consent under this provision is not required. Storage or access that is not necessary requires prior consent. Quivr currently embeds no advertising pixels or external analytics scripts.
Hosting, recipients and international transfers
Quivr hosting, backups and email are operated with netcup GmbH in Germany. Netcup processes data as part of providing and operating these technical services.
External sign-in providers and applications you connect receive the data needed for their functions. When you connect Twitch or Kick, their processing may also take place outside the European Economic Area. The providers describe their transfer mechanisms in their privacy notices. This does not mean that all processing takes place only in Germany.
When externally hosted profile images or product media are displayed, their servers receive connection data needed to retrieve them, including your IP address. Information from the providers mentioned above:
Retention
Retention depends on the purpose and any legal retention obligations. Account data is needed to provide your account. You can request deletion by email; legally required retention and legitimate legal claims may prevent immediate deletion of all data.
Sign-in credentials remain usable until the relevant session ends or expires. Security events are needed to investigate abuse and secure operation. Contact data is retained according to the handling of the request. Review data depends on the duration of publication. Backup data serves recovery following technical failures; its retention likewise depends on that recovery purpose.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time for future processing.
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you can object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. You can send requests concerning your rights to:

Terms of use
Information about the currently free use of Quivr.
Provider and service
Quivr is operated by Dustin Velten. The address and contact details are in the legal notice. Quivr provides accounts, connections to external services, product access, downloads and reviews. The specific features are described in the relevant offering.
Quivr does not currently sell paid products. These terms do not govern a paid purchase or create a payment obligation. Any future paid offering requires separate information and an appropriate contract.
Accounts and security
Use accurate account details and keep your credentials confidential. Only connect accounts you are authorized to use. Contact us if you suspect misuse of your credentials. Available security settings are in your profile.
Acceptable use
Use Quivr in accordance with applicable law and the rights of others. Unauthorized access, bypassing access restrictions, distributing unlawful content and deliberately disrupting the service are not permitted. Connected platforms also have their own terms.
Downloads and reviews
Rights to use software provided through Quivr are determined by the applicable license terms. Downloading software does not transfer copyright.
Only publish reviews and content you have the right to publish. Reviews should reflect your actual experience with the product. Unlawful content and abuse may result in content moderation or proportionate access restrictions.
Operation and changes
Maintenance or technical problems may temporarily limit access. Changes to these terms do not automatically apply retroactively or turn a free offering into a paid one without a separate agreement. Mandatory statutory rights, including rights concerning digital products, remain unaffected.
Closing your account and contact
If you no longer want to use your account, you can request deletion by email. Legal retention obligations and privacy rights remain unaffected. For questions about using Quivr or closing your account:
